THE BIG PROCESS
The next day, i got up early, packed all the documents in a folder, showered myself a little and started off towards the consulate. It was morning 7:30 when i reached there. I was in for a surprise when i saw the serpentile queue of people standing already. Luckily, the queue dissolved quite quickly as the staffs there started the processings sharp at 8 AM.
We had to present our Appointment copy at the gate prior to being admitted inside. The security officials at the gate ransacked us to the core before giving the green signal indicating that we are clean. The whole process was just a matter of minutes. First there was a queue where we had to hand over the DD for the Shipment costs, then was another one where we had to give the DD as entrance fee. Then we were directed to a third room, where the main picture lies. The VISA interview....
The official asked me to fingerprint both my index fingers. Then glimpsed through all my documents, then asked me my purpose of visit and that it...Voila..guess he was totally convinced with my answer that he gave me a 10 yr m entry visa...
After all this drama, we went to "Mylapore Kapaleeswarar" temple for a brief worship and then returned back home.
